Predator & Prey
Naivete, idealism, preach me
to think and think too much
the question
is there ever an end to the cruelty
of those who insist
we are civilized?
13 bodies on a stretch
of Ukraine claiming victory
crushing children by rubble
that once was a home
and builders turned into killers
curbing the gay part of humanity
a nature that loves others
as much or more
than itself
the self unknown slathered
with jingles as if we are the predator
and prey.
