Oh Trees!

                                 


Oh trees!

                                Christmas, evergreens, dessiduous, ancient, young, stumped

                                by our greed for trinkets and coins

                                how you stand tall

                                or bend

                                how you build our houses

                                how we have ignored mycelium

                                whispering in our dreams

                                trying to teach us

                                to be

                                               responsible.
