Future of Humans on This Planet

Based on what is happening today, I see that women or woman will be kept in barns with hay and a few vegetables. They won't live long because their use is the uterus. After several births the woman attached to the stall with chains on her legs until she dies. Males will be allowed to live freely until they reach 15 years old after roaming, fighting, serving the war. If she is caught singing, talking or dancing, her tongue will be cut out and her bones in her legs broken so she cannot walk more than a few steps.

There will be no music, poetry or art. All human activity must be capitalist. After the male copulates the female is brought back to the barn to complete the gestation period.

Entertainment will be the same as the end of the Roman Empire. Gladiators fighting to the death or being killed if he no longer wins any tournaments.

Tournaments are two males fighting until one wins and the other dies. This is for entertainment.

Spectators are male adults who pay to watch the gladiator.

Schools for children are a waste of money. Only the top level of humans (the richest) are taught to be warriors. Language is whatever is spoken. It changes with the century. Medicine is only for those who can pay for it.

Housing is basic, no frills or comfort. The house has one room where brothers live once they reach adulthood. Drinks are mostly alcoholic. Food is fresh, cooked and eaten same day. Seasoning is seen as sissy, fussy, waste of time.

Fashion, glamour is unnecessary, waste of time and resources. Vanity is muscle without a cause. Games are organized to see who wins. Winning is the only status that matters.

The most popular men are those who have the most children from different mothers kept in the barn. No-one cares who their parents are. Some generations ago it was a status to know who your father was.

Life expectancy is 40 years for males. No-one records female life expectancy.

PLANET IN SEARCH OF REAL HUMANS

 Real humans don't pretend to love power more than life. We live in life. We wouldn't be here if there was only power but no love for life. We were born from not just a uterus but through a woman who carried that life until it was ready to leave her body. It was an embryo. It came from a woman's body and a man's seed. It grew by the warmth of a woman's blood and the elements that kept her body healthy like food and water. From habits and education that came from parents, grandparents, nurses and the love they learned from their parents. With the wisdom that came from others in the community that was based on wisdom and love. Generation after generation learning, living, and passing on their knowledge to young ones. Some believe this along with nature, came from GOD.

GOD is the name of the deity we sometimes pray to, who resembles all we don't know because the beginning came before we were born, before we had pen, paper, words and language. There are many different stories about the beginning because we have imagination and often think about the meaning of life.

The meaning of life is the one question we cannot let go of. It won't go away until we become so vain we believe our personal power is greater we brag about our achievements to the extent nothing else matters. Until it does.

This is just a belief I carry

People are born free and when we are allowed to create societies where freedom is honoured, this enables us to learn as much as we can to maintain respect for life. Once we learn how to maintain respect we can build on our own abilities. Like, to cook a hot meal, sing in a choir, find a lover, have children, nurture those we care for.

It gets complicated when others needs clash with ours. We then must think seriously and act cautiously, not assume power over others unless we are given a job like policing, health care, teaching, building, and others, we don't need to tell others what they should do. Power over others is a responsibility not a game, not a stage show. Power doesn't make life easy for us. It is a responsibility. However we can understand our longing for power when we were children, when we had to do as others who have power over us. Many experiences were painful, our own preferences were ignored, we had to keep our own mouth shut.

Then as we age we see and feel the stress of getting along, particularly when the options were not suited to our own temperaments.

Life is a trap. We have to eat, sleep, go to work, care for family and other responsibilities. Then we learn life is not fair. Some things hurt. Sometimes we are blamed for something we didn't do. The treatment of men and women in slavery. The treatment of different groups like Jews, Arabs. Treatment of women in patriarchal societies. Treatment of those with different abilities.

People who have power over us. But one thing is certain, if we don't do anything when we observe injustice, cruelty, greed, vanity, hate - life will become more painful for the innocent.

We have an obligation to observe and work towards peace and respect.

The New Dinosaurs

Once upon a time dinosaurs roamed and ruled the earth. Little humans (as they appeared to giants) stayed in their caves out of fear. Alright I don't know that they stayed in their caves. Somehow they survived and outlived the monster.

The good news is we are still here. Bad news is we seem to be destroying our chances for survival.

There is a tendency to dismiss the idea of nurture as a way of behaving in our capitalist technological world.

What we have achieved is a society of different worths. The highly educated, the rich, the capitalist factories, the inventors of cars, buses and trains, the hospitals, the education of health, including entertainment, circuses, television and other wonders. We humans have achieved a lot. Or at least some of us have.

We have also created the labelization of people. National names. Religious groups. Types of personalities. There is some benefit to this but we tend to get carried away making judgements, creating types, prisons, special schools, universities. 

We have slaughtered the carefree mind, filling it with fear and worry, false advertisements promoting long life and good health. Misogyny, machismo training young men to fear their feelings. Wars. Prisons. Roads. Pollution. The dictionary is too heavy to hold.

Separating people into types creates more fear. Nuclear Weapons. Laws. Newspapers.

Yes we keep building more things to create a better world. But there are always the losers and the winners.

Labelling people as losers separates us from humanity, our kin. Today we have the most powerful nation run by opportunists. We inherited our own enemy. We try to segregate them as we have for centuries.

The "upper class" who have enough money to buy a big home, send their children to good schools, places of worship and other things to create a "better" world. Unfortunately privilege has also destroyed better worlds. We are trapped by fear. It's not our fault. But it is our fault. 

Workers, engineers, fishermen, wives, mothers, lawyers, capitalists, bus drivers, teachers, mothers, housekeepers, garbage pick ups, gardeners, shop-keepers, scientists, doctors, nurses, and on it goes.

We are amazing. So amazing we are evil, compassionate, controlling, warriors and defenders. As time moves on we may be described as magical, but the future looks scary. To all of us. Rich or poor.

So let's stop judging, making enemies in our minds, and let's learn how to guide the future for us all.

this constant competing for position

let me feel the pain of those

who can only threaten

beat up and ridicule

as if they are alone on this planet

and the sky cannot see them

the birds cannot hear them

as if the world is not changed

or comforted by their three score and ten years

travelling to and from

up and down

in and out

listening and speaking

crying and laughing

eating and letting it pass through

her body

down into a different world entirely

of course its not what I digest

that matters after the breath stops

after reading and listening

to everything or anything

when my mind stops

forever while the rivers

keep trickling on and on

are you asleep yet?

You may think this is just another post that's scary to make us feel powerless. I don't think Chris Hedges wants us to feel powerless but he has been fighting this, in my opinion, to the best of his ability.

He is hoping we the people will pick up the shofar or whatever else we can, and decide to do something. I know it's not a happy idea, nor is it perfect. We need everyone who loves life more than things, to pay attention, to find their gifts (abilities) and do whatever they can.

There are several heroes besides Chris Hedges, like Robert Reisch, other Canadians who stand up for protecting life on this planet. The difference between them and us, is we ordinary people are not fighting for money, the banks, the false interests who say they represent a noble traditions, but only seek to be on the right side of integrity, the health of this planets survival.
